Abstract
The time to failure of constant-strain strip specimens of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys exposed to an accelerated SCC test has been correlated with alloy composition using a regression analysis technique. The results show that, while copper is slightly beneficial, magnesium and zinc contents greater than the normal 1·5% and 5% levels, respectively, are highly deleterious.
