Abstract
A study was made of the corrosion found on ships permanently anchored in the Great Bitter Lake. Owing to the climatic conditions, little corrosion was detected above the water line but corrosion was found on the underwater portion of the hull, being greateston those ships moored in groups. This corrosion was minimised by cathodic protection.
