Abstract
The detailed stress analysis of a corrosion-fatigue specimen, in the form of a tapered cantilever, has been carried out by means of the ‘frozen-stres’ photoelastic method. The maximum stress factor was 1·07 and it is concluded that the specimen is well suited to this form of testing.
