Abstract
The British Joint Corrosion Group symposium on metalgas reactions in atmospheres containing CO2 was based on 22 papers, for which the abstracts were published in the November, 1967 issue of the British Corrosion Journal. Two contexts were provided: the gas-cooled nuclear reactor programme and reformer plant for the gas industry, with the first of these being relevant in the majority of cases. Most of the experimental work reported was carried out in the U.K., although one paper from France and a group of papers arising from the OECD DRAGON reactor project helped to impart a European flavour to the meeting, and the discussions also included a number of verbal contributions by visitors from the Continent.
