Abstract
The attitudes that teachers hold toward students with exceptional conditions and toward inclusive practices are critical in informing teacher decision making and acceptance. The preservice years are a threshold experience and a critical period for the modification of attitudes. This paper describes portfolios that focus on images of disability as one mechanism that holds promise for positively altering the attitudes of preservice teachers toward the philosophy of inclusion and the students served.
