Intracranial hemorrhage is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the preterm neonate. Sonographic examination techniques allow accurate non-invasive diagnosis and follow-up. The pathophysiology of ICH is discussed. Sonographic findings are reviewed as are clinical considerations in infants with ICH.
