High density thermoplastic polyester compositions which had been developed for injection molding were modified for sheet extrusion and thermoforming. Formulations were optimized to enhance processability for ex trusion and thermoforming by increasing melt strength at lower shear rates. A Design of Experiments was used to further optimize extrusion processing con ditions. Temperature and feed rate were found to be critical for optimum sur face appearance.
