The general structure and property relationships of different heat seal materials coextruded with high density polyethylene are dependent upon the type and amount of sealant polymer in the structure. Ultra low density polyethylene, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, and zinc ionomer were coextruded with high density poly ethylene ; the structures were compared by evaluating the heat seal properties and their physical properties.
