Polyamide (PA) films made with nylon 6 for lamination—to polyethylene (PE) films, for example—require enhanced spherulite growth to prevent deformation of the flat film during removal of solvents in the drier. Several factors were considered in designing and performing tests which resulted in developing correlation equations for two of these factors—chill roll temperatures and film speed—for the test machine used to produce film suitable for use in packaging.
