Abstract
Aseptic packaging of food is rapidly advancing due to three factors: energy savings in processing, better food quality and lower packaging material costs. The CONOF- FAST* System utilizes coextruded plastic products in the lidding and body materials to form and label aseptic fill and seal packages. Factors affecting container perfor mance are delineated and discussed; and a description of probable applications is provided along with market forecasts.
