Abstract
Polypropylene homopolymers and copolymers offer many properties which would be advantageous for users of thermoformed articles. However, they are difficult to thermoform. This paper reports on results of developing new resin systems which are thermoformable. Included are some systems which include the addition of talc and calcium carbonate fillers which increase the modulus of the sheeting while maintain ing the thermoformability and the good impact strength.
