Abstract
A wide variety of LLDPE resins have been run on laboratory through commercial scale blown film lines. The film properties fit into two classes, butene copolymers in one, and higher alpha-olefins in a second, higher strength class. Within each class the film properties have been correlated with resin density and melt flow properties. These relationships can help converters to choose the optimum LLDPE resin for each specific application.
