Several compounds based on polybutylene have been evaluated for use as the peelable heat sealant layer of lid stocks. Such lid stocks are suitable as the lids for containers, trays or pouches made of polypropylene or polyethylene or made of other materials which have surface layers of these polyolefins. The packages made from these systems can be conveniently opened by consumers.
