Abstract
Gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are the most common type of GISTs in the gastrointestinal tract. Gastric GISTs may present in a wide variety of sizes and locations in the stomach. The goal of the surgical and/or endoscopic treatments is a complete R0 resection with free margins, and combined methods to accomplish this resection are available. This manuscript will review the various surgical and/or endoscopic techniques available and the technical considerations for appropriate gastric GIST resections.
