Abstract

Welcome to the readers of our next issue of Research Methods in Medicine & Health Sciences. I am very pleased to be writing this brief Editorial and am excited that we research methodologists have a reputable venue in which to publish our important research.
As a reminder, the aims and scope of our journal are as follows: Research Methods in Medicine & Health Sciences is a peer reviewed journal, publishing rigorous research on established “gold standard” methods and new cutting edge research methods in the health sciences and clinical medicine. The journal is structured around the following sections: Research Concepts and Theory; Epidemiology and Study Design; Experimental Study Methodology; Observational Study Methodology: Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis; Measurement Tools; Data Collection and Curation; Statistics and Data Analysis; Ethical and Legal Considerations in Research and Medicine; and Journalology. State-of-the art papers are selectively commissioned by out international panel of expert Topic Editors for consideration in the journal and ad hoc submissions are of course also welcome. The journal will be built up over time to become a comprehensive resource for all relevant methods for medicine and health sciences written by experts in the field. Our journal is open access and has no fees for publication. Please submit your papers and circulate our Journal to your methodologist colleagues. And feel free to contact me directly with your thoughts on our content and suggestions for thematic issues. I look forward to talking with you!
In this issue we have articles on qualitative health research, statistical methods, informed consent methods. We hope you find the papers enlightening and that these works improve the methods for your research.
