Abstract

Relationships are much like mirrors. The partners not only see and reflect each other’s best qualities but also help one truly see themselves in a way no one else does. The picture depicts the intrinsic nature of two soulmates—entwined in mind and body. They see each other fully, without any veils. They see the good, they see the bad, they see the black, white, red, grey, and everything in between—and are prepared to work together. Psychosexual health is not just about good sexual functioning—it is about intimacy, care, respect, and love. Good sexual functioning is almost a byproduct of all of it. This picture depicts what the old adage says—it takes two to tango. A man’s fierce masculinity, complimented by the quiet strength and composure of the woman. He endows her with the adulation and respect she deserves and she brings all her love, care, and compassion. Her calm and her maturity, a perfect foil for his fire. Like two pieces of a jigsaw, they are distinct, but they complete each other. They value each other, support each other, and need each other. The picture is a beautiful representation of the beautiful dance of two hearts that come together, to beat in unison, to find harmony, to love each other, and to mirror each other.
