Abstract

It gives me great pleasure to commemorate the Journal of Current Oncology’s fifth anniversary (JCO). I’d like to warmly welcome the entire JCO readership on behalf of the editorial team. I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to our researchers, editors, and anonymous reviewers who have contributed their time to help the Journal succeed. JCO is an exceptional resource for communicating studies of broad interest in oncology, including basic, translational, and clinical research.
With its new editorial team and SAGE publications, the Editor-in-Chief seeks to continue expanding the Journal’s influence and quality. The Journal’s main strength is the interest the field as a whole has in its content. Looking ahead, we’ll continue to put our efforts into studies with the most influence and widespread significance.
We welcome contributions demonstrating practical usefulness that take a multidisciplinary/convergent approach to tackle complex real-world problems. JCO provides an ideal forum for exchanging information in various formats: full-length research papers, case reports, review articles, short communications, and up-and-coming technological breakthroughs. The Journal’s editorial board is firmly convinced this initiative will provide science-driven, peer-reviewed articles conforming to the strict international processes and editorial standards expected by the scientific community.
