Two patients seen in the dermatology clinic experienced psoriasis flares after exposure to exogenous progesterone without simultaneous exogenous estrogen administration. Although the effects of estrogen on psoriasis have been studied extensively, there are little published data regarding the role of progesterone in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.
