Abstract
Psoriasiform eruptions have been reported to occur in patients who have undergone treatment with etanercept, infliximab or adalimumab for a myriad of conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Behçets disease and Crohn's disease. Additionally, the paradoxical occurrence of psoriasiform eruptions following the treatment of psoriasis with tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) inhibitors has given rise to a number of case series and several theories concerning the mechanism underlying TNF-α flare. Herein, we report a psoriasiform eruption following the treatment of cutaneous sarcoidosis with infliximab. To our knowledge, this is the first such documented case.
