Abstract

William A. Smalloy, Ph.D. is Associate Secretary in the Translations Department of the American Bible Society. He is also editor of the bi-monthly Journal, Practical Anthropology, published especially for missionaries, Dr. Smalley served for several years as a missionary under the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Indo-China, before coming to his present position. He is recognized as an authority in the fields of Bible translation and anthropology. Ed.
