Abstract
I will be transitioning my role as Editor in Chief to Dr Laura Cooley. She is extraordinary and beyond capable of taking the The Journal of Patient Experience (JPE) to new heights. I think she found a new, creative title and role for me, “Editor Emeritus,” which makes me feel like an elderly wizard. Anyway, I’m so proud of the growth of the journal and hold very dear the privilege of serving our readers and contributors over the years. The transition is not about me and my next steps. Yours are the stories that need to be told. Yours are the manuscripts that need to be written. Yours are the voices the world needs to hear.
