Abstract
Background:
Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) and meniscus repair (MR) procedures followed by adequate rehabilitation programs are necessary so the patients can perform daily activities adequately, especially on high-knee demanding workers. This case shows lack of rehabilitation of a worker after ACLR and MR.
Case description:
A 34 years old male worker, works in a squatting and kneeling position all the time. The patient underwent ACLR and MR procedures but did not follow rehabilitation afterwards. Twelve weeks later, the patient was still unable to squat fully and still had mild knee pain. The patient has returned to work but did not work in his original position.
Conclusion:
Rehabilitation protocols that are not implemented will result in unsatisfactory results even though the operating procedures have been carried out properly.
