Hip and Elbow Surgery in Major League Baseball Pitchers: Letter to the Editor

Abstract

Dear Editor:

We read with interest the article by Kantrowitz et al² on athletic hip injuries in Major League Baseball pitchers associated with ulnar collateral ligament tears. Although overlooked in their report, their data support the observation previously published demonstrating a 75% prevalence of ulnar collateral ligament surgery among Major League Baseball pitchers undergoing hip arthroscopy.¹
