Abstract
The stock market is one of the gripping determinants of the economy and plays an important role in the country’s financial state. The study of customer satisfaction is of paramount importance for the success of any organisation. The present study attempts to find out the satisfaction level of online share traders. The primary data was collected from 200 respondents through a well-structured questionnaire. The main objectives of the study are to understand the attitude of online share traders, to measure the effectiveness of broking sites and to examine the problems faced by online share traders. To attain the objectives, the statistical tools, namely, simple percentage, Chi-square test, ANOVA, factor analysis, weighted average rank analysis and sign test were applied. The results reveal that the respondents are satisfied with the factors, namely, communication, responsiveness, facilities and services provided by the online share trade platform providers. The study also discloses that customers have some problems like mental pressure, network connectivity and lack of confidentiality of personal information. Among the broking sites taken for the study, Religare, Geojit and Reliance have obtained the first three places for their customer services.
