Abstract
The main goal of our paper is to provide an introduction to Singaporean corporate culture. We first describe the Singaporean business environment. We then examine the corporate culture within the three main sectors of the Singaporean economy government, multinational corporations and local private sector. Our main conclusion is that each of the three sectors has its own distinctive corporate culture although there is limited interaction between the three cultures. The challenge for Singapore is to forge a corporate culture suitable for the knowledge economy by combining the best of its public and private sector corporate cultures.
