Abstract

When looking for articles on a journal’s website, it can often be hard or overwhelming to find articles you are interested, especially with so much content being released in the Open Access era. We want to make our journal accessible, user-friendly and easy for everyone to find what they are looking for. The solution to this problem was to create the GSJ Special Collections Index. The Special Collections feature articles grouped by topic so that you can find what you are interested in.
The Special Collections index features many different topics ranging from Cervical Spine to Basic Science to Arthroplasty. We have surgical, clinical, non-surgical, and basic science/research collections. The Special Collections are updated every month with all of the most recently published articles so they are constantly growing and changing. If an article features more than one topic it will go into multiple collections.
I am constantly researching topics for upcoming talks and updates for meetings and conferences. I now start with search the GSJ Special Collections as a starting point. This typically gives me the latest articles on the topic, with reviews and references that allow me to quickly obtain the latest articles on the topic. This allows my internet article search to be more fruitful with more relevant and contemporary articles.
We hope that the GSJ Special Collections will provide you with an easy and user-friendly way to find what you are looking for and interested in reading. They are easily accessible on our website, you can find the link on the right hand side when you go to the main site or you can access them all here: https://journals.sagepub.com/collection-index/gsja.
