Abstract

Welcome to Global Spine Congress 2021 (GSC). This year, AO Spine’s annual event is heading to one of Europe's most vibrant cities, Paris. Referred to as the "city of lights, Paris is famous for its cafe culture, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Moulin Rouge, pastries, and fashion.
The GSC is one of the largest gatherings for thousands of spine surgeons from all over the world. The event provides an outstanding forum to exchange ideas, network with fellow spine professionals, and learn about the latest research, techniques, and technologies in spine surgery.
The Global Spine Congress is unique in its approach to sharing knowledge and developing new approaches to the treatment of spinal disorders to help advance spine care and improve patient care. The congress is open to all surgeons, spine practitioners, allied health care professionals, and researchers, and will offer a full schedule for four days.
The scientific program will include pre-courses, AO Spine Symposia, Society Symposia, and peer-reviewed abstracts, scheduled to be presented as oral or e-poster presentations.
Since the first GSC in 2009, the number of participants and speakers attending continues to grow. GSC 2021 saw an impressive number of abstracts submitted, despite a challenging year, which further indicates that the GSC is marked on the agenda of spine surgeons worldwide, and the rapid growth trend continues.
