Abstract
The survey was most enlightening as to the background, needs, salary range of the occupational health nurses in Louisiana. A covering letter by the Management-Medical Advisory Council attached to the results of the survey as conducted states the purpose of the study: “to provide data for determining whether occupational health nurses in the state are being compensated in accordance with the current trends in nurses’ salaries as recommended by the AAIN statement of 1967. It is anticipated that the results would serve as a guide and would foster mutual understanding between management and nurse in their respective organizations.”
