Five papers, by the moderator, Dr. Wells, and the four panelists, were presented as part of the Workshop on Safety and Medico-Administrative Skills. These papers are published on the following pages. This workshop was marked by a note of sadness due to the death of Dr. Adolph Kammer on February 1. Dr. Kammer, who was to have moderated the panel, was a former President of the Industrial Medical Association, Head of the Department of Occupational Health at the University of Pittsburgh, and editor of The Journal of Occupational Medicine. Dr. Wells, in his opening remarks, paid tribute to Dr. Rammer's permanent contributions to the field of Occupational Health.
