Abstract
The Scientific Sessions of the American Heart Association, a three day long meeting, were held in October in San Francisco. More than 3000 physicians, research scientists and laymen attended the Sessions. The meeting marked the 10th anniversary of the American Heart Association as a national voluntary health agency. The prevalence and severity of cardiac problems make this a subject of extreme interest to all concerned with health work. Therefore, the Journal publishes below short summaries of certain papers presented at the Scientific Sessions.
