Abstract
Occupational health nurses' practice boundaries continue to expand as they find it increasingly necessary to practice in more than one state, and telenursing as well as advances in technology encourage communication between nurses and clients via telephone, e-mail, fax, and teleconference. Thirteen years have passed since the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, Inc. (AAOHN) endorsed the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) and issued the AAOHN Multistate Practice Advisory. This article updates readers on the status of the NLC and provides resources for additional information.
