Cultural diversity is an increasingly important characteristic of the work force.
Occupational health nurses with sensitivity to the influence of culture on behavior and
knowledge of strategies to deliver culturally competent services can lead to and/or help
develop a culturally sensitive health care environment and influence corporate culture and
policies.
