Abstract
This case study explores the leadership transitions at Starbucks, focusing on the tenures of Howard Schultz, Kevin Johnson, and Laxman Narasimhan and how their distinct leadership styles influenced the company’s strategic direction and financial performance. Through a comparative analysis, this study highlights the effects of transformational, transactional, and coaching leadership on Starbucks’ global expansion, operational adjustments, and market positioning. It evaluates the implications of these leadership approaches on organizational culture and employee engagement, providing insights into the dynamic relationship between executive leadership and corporate success in the global coffee market.
