Abstract
Opening a fine-dining concept while consciously incorporating social justice and Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) was a challenge that Rohan and Rati had taken voluntarily. They wanted to come up with a business idea which would benefit not only them but also specially abled by providing them employment. As his business began to flourish, he faced an expansion dilemma. Should he now open a second restaurant on similar lines (to maximize his profits) or focus on the existing restaurant which was already in a posh locality but working at almost 100% capacity. If he decided to go for expansion, he might need to raise fresh debt which itself has high demand in terms of debt servicing. The case applies the concept of financial statement analysis like leverage and profitability and cost-volume profit analysis to find the answers.
