Abstract
This case study takes a closer look at the relevance of policymaking in hospitality that equips the reader with the knowledge needed to identify pitfalls in policy. Many students who enrolled in managerial hospitality classes will have an opportunity to take an HR course specific to the industry. Many new policies have been introduced to the field, and many companies count on these policies to help retain employees. The hospitality industry is focusing on ways to re-create loyalty in their brand. This study examines the implications of untested HR policies at a fictitious international hotel chain, RIECH Hotel, and their impact on job performance, job satisfaction, and organizational reputation. It aims to equip hospitality management students with the knowledge to identify pitfalls in policy implementation and develop strategies for effective HR management.
