Abstract
This paper presents an exploratory interpretive study of decision making within groups of friends. First, characteristics that make groups of friends unique as a decision making unit are highlighted. Next, four major steps in the decision process are identified and discussed, i.e., suggestion, discussion and evaluation of alternatives, distribution of tasks and roles, and post-experience evaluation. The paper also explores potential conflicts and methods of resolving them.
