Maternal mortality in the UK is increasing, and thromboembolism and cardiac disease accounted for almost 30% of women in the MBRRACE 2024 report. This paper aims to give readers a simple and practical approach to chest pain in pregnancy, helping the reader understand what is normal and abnormal in pregnancy and safe and effective diagnostic and management principles.
