Abstract
Two-sided platforms are developing and changing the way we work. They often embed an app. This case study aims at understanding the development of a two-sided platform in the restaurant industry to discuss its functioning, the details of its attractive characteristics, the value proposition for each side, and multiple network effects. The case deepens the reflection of the transition from a value chain to an ecosystem through the two-sided platform. A review of the exploitation of data and their valorization is included. This case will be particularly useful for post-graduate or MBA students in courses on platforms, ecosystems, innovative business models, and/or data exploitation.
