Abstract
In this paper we suggest a simple relation for the penetration depths in concrete targets impacted by rigid projectiles with various nose shapes. This relation is based on our approach to concrete penetration by rigid CRH3 ogive-nosed projectiles, which was previously shown to account for several sets of experimental results. In the work presented here we used published data for concrete penetration by rigid projectiles with other nose shapes, to derive their nose-shape factors. These factors were implemented in our model to obtain penetration equations for flat-nosed projectiles and for ogive-nosed projectiles with CRH1.5 to CRH12.
