Abstract
Disability: what is it, and what are its consequences for an employment relationship? This article investigates how the standards of non-discrimination and reasonable accommodation set by EU law have been embraced by different national legal systems. Thereby, it aims to identify the most pressing problems concerning the legal standard itself as well as its diverse implementation – and the most important challenges facing national policy makers with a view to the genuine integration of the disabled into the labour market.
