Abstract
This contribution deals with the impact of the Lisbon Treaty on social law and social policy, at the European level and at the national level of European member states. This is discussed with reference to the social powers of the EU, the procedures for decision-making, the social dialogue, the citizens' initiative, the fundamental rights, the laws of the market and social rights, the services of general interest and enhanced cooperation.
