Abstract
The following paper points at the increasing difficulties of determining whether or not an ‘employment relationship’ does exist in an individual case. By referring to the experience in Germany in particular some possible solutions are examined in more detail. Among others light is shed on legally defining a particular sub-group of ‘quasi-salaried workers’ who are not personally but only economically dependant on others.
