A new diagnostic tool was developed combining DSA-equipment with a CT scanner. The two components of the system can be separated by a sliding lead wall allowing four modes of application: completely separate use, combination of fluoroscopic plane with CT, coupling DSA with CT or DS-cisternography with CT-cisternography. According to these modalities the system components can be used for different diagnostic purposes especially prior, during or after interventional procedures. Applications are described in the treatment of aneurysms regarding the measurement of aneurysm size.
