Abstract
We report our experience using a computerized system of speech recognition (Voice Type rel 1.32). This system allows a significant reduction of report time with a low incidence of mistakes (3%). Instead, the reports made with the computerized technique were more understable than those performed traditionally.
In conclusion, this technique offers more advantages than the traditional one. 1) The clinical folder spent less time in the neuroradiological department; 2) more understable reports; 3) less use of secretarial personnel; and (4) the possibility to write the official report at any time.
