Eosinophilic granuloma, a form of reticuloendothelial proliferation of unknown origin, can involve virtually any site and organ of the body. Involvement of the central nervous systems is very rare, but the skull is a common location.
We present a case of a large eosinophilic granuloma of the skull, which on CT? MRI and angiography, was reported as meningiosarcoma.
The tumour was totally excised, and histology disclosed an eosinophilic granuloma. Emphasis is given on radiology, and the literature is reviewed.
