Viene presentato un paziente di 12 anni con neurofibromatosi di von Recklinghausen (NF1) affetto da vasculopatia occlusiva arteriosa cerebrale.
Mentre l'emorragia intracranica o subaracnoidea rappresenta la manifestazione clinica più comune del «pacchetto» nel paziente adulto, in età pediatrica tale vasculopatia occlusiva cerebrale si presenta più spesso con episodi ischemia.
Viene quindi discussa questa rara complicanza della neurofibromatosi alla luce delle altre rare segnalazioni della letteratura.
