Cystic hygromas occur most commonly in the neck, axilla, groin or retroperitoneal space. Occasionally a portion of a cervical cystic hygroma may reside within the mediastinum. It is also extremely rare for cystic hygroma to present in the back of the neck. Hence, we describe our experience of two cases of cystic hygromas in the neck, an extensive cervicomediastinal, and posterior cervical lesion. The different location and extent of each lesion, and different management decisions are discussed.
