We describe two patients with acquired laryngotracheal stenosis secondary to thermal injury. Both required early tracheotomy to maintain long-term airway patency. Open laryngotracheal surgery was employed to reconstruct the laryngotracheal lumen. Both patients were decannulated without complication, and neither has suffered any permanent pulmonary dysfunction.
