Abstract
The commercially available Oxygen Trach Ring is a device to be attached to tracheostomy tubes to permit the delivery of low-flow oxygen to patients who have tracheostomies. We have used this device for patients in the hospital and home and have experienced no untoward side effects or difficulties. The Oxygen Trach Ring replaces the bulkier nebulizer-aerosol tubing-tracheostomy mask system in many patients, and the use of low-flow oxygen reduces costs. (Respir Care 1985;30:266-267.)
