Modern technology has allowed for virtual communication beyond the use of a telephone or email. Real-time messages can be sent to individual family members or specific groups using school-focused communication applications. This article will provide an overview of the basic features of popular school communication apps that the school nurse can use. Best practices when using these apps will also be discussed.
